My Christmas Movie Bender - A List
Due to either a burst of holiday spirit or an end-of-year deterioration of my mental state, I've watched 9 Hulu Christmas Movies over the last 8 days, plus Kelly Clarkson's Christmas special and 2 movies I refused to finish.

The sassy black friend thing feels a little tropey. That said, the entire Christmas Movie genre is a little tropey and I wasn't sad when that character was on screen, so we'll let it slide.
If you like minor plotlines involving two dorky side characters also finding love, this is for you.[2]
Desperately Seeking Santa

While the movie is pretty good, it's hard to describe without making it sound pretty dumb. Here's a scene description:
A charming Good Son™ from South Boston moonlighting as a hunky santa (to save the family restaurant) performs CPR on an ailing mall customer.
All together, that sounds overwhelming; however, if any single part of that scene sounds like fun, then this is for you.

Special shout out to Elizabeth Small and Charlotte Sullivan; they were so charming (for a Christmas Movie) that I paused the movie to Google them.
While the movie is definitely more human focused than puppy focused, if you want a Christmas Movie with a sprinkle of "OH MY GOD WHAT A GOOD BOIIIIII", this is for you.

I like to call this movie "How Lea Michele Went To Hawaii And Got Her Groove Back". If that sentence intrigues you, this is for you.
Special shout-out to whomever slipped a wonderfully tender moment into the 3rd act, between two characters who didn't have that much screen-time together. It was a very pleasant surprise.
